The Solidarity Fund, an initiative led by Louvain Coopération, the NGO of UCLouvain, offers students the opportunity to finance their solidarity projects in Belgium or in the Global South. With financial support of up to €3,000 and guidance from experts, this is the ideal opportunity to bring your initiatives to life while developing your skills.

Are you a student at UCLouvain and want to get involved in a solidarity project? The Solidarity Fund, launched by the NGO Louvain Coopération in partnership with UCLouvain and the Louvain Student General Assembly, enables you to carry out initiatives in Belgium or in the Global South.

What is the Solidarity Fund?

The Solidarity Fund is financed by contributions from students participating in the programme Étudiant Solidaire, each student contributing €6 per year.

The next call for projects will take place from 1 to 31 October 2025, offering students the opportunity to receive financial support of between €250 and €3,000 to bring their initiatives to fruition.

Mandatory training

To ensure the success of your project, the Solidarity Fund offers mandatory training courses:

  • Marketing, communication and fundraising: to learn how to promote and finance your initiative.
  • Interculturality: to understand cultural dynamics and act respectfully in international contexts.
  • Project management: to master the tools and methods essential for implementing your project.

These training courses and activities are organised throughout the academic year and aim to help you develop, structure and implement your ideas.

Make your solidarity project a reality

The Solidarity Fund offers you a unique opportunity to take action. Whether you want to act locally or internationally, this programme allows you to combine your values with concrete initiatives while strengthening your skills and employability.

Ready to make a difference?

Prepare your project and apply by 31 October 2025 to join the Student Solidarity community!
