Ethics & integrity
Louvain Coopération has adopted and respects the Integrity Charter for the Belgian NGO sector. Through this charter, Louvain Coopération undertakes to adopt appropriate behaviour and integrity and to do its utmost to combat breaches of integrity.
To ensure that our behaviour is in line with our values and mission, Louvain Coopération has adopted a Code of Ethics. All LC employees (salaried staff, consultants, trainees, volunteers, members of the Board of Directors and the General Meeting, etc.) formally undertake to respect and adhere to the Code of Ethics.
INTEGRITY POLICY
Louvain Coopération has also adopted an integrity policy in order to equip itself with internal processes and regulations, enabling us to combat problematic behaviour with the aim of protecting our staff and the target audiences with whom we work on a daily basis.
The approach developed by LC is a victim-centred approach. This means that LC intends to pursue all allegations. Our main concern is to protect the victim and/or the whistleblower, while respecting the rights, needs and wishes of the complainant.
Procedure for reporting abuse and issuing integrity alerts
In order that all persons linked to LC (employees, trainees, consultants, volunteers, partners, beneficiaries, donors, ....) can report a problem of integrity in accordance with the rules of confidentiality, a specific contact point is available for filing a complaint concerning a question of integrity.
