Our objectives are in line with one of the university's missions: service to society.

Students engage themselves in the South
Medical students are given the opportunity to do an internship in a Southern country where they face the challenge of a rudimentary medical practice. In collaboration with the Ecole de Journalisme de Louvain and TVCom, we organise a journalism competition that allows the winners to produce reports in one of our countries of action.
UNI4COOP
This project brings together 4 French-speaking university NGOs. Born from the shared will to move forward together and to reinforce each other, this consortium opens up new perspectives for action and knowledge. It has notably resulted in a project on the preservation of mangroves.

Fields for research
The projects of Louvain Coopération are fields for research, dissertations or PhDs (mutual health insurance, agroecology, etc.). Each research project is the subject of a work of synthesis and dissemination of the knowledge available on this site.
The 1+1 action (matching funds)
Every year the UCLouvain commits to doubling up to €35,000 in donations from its staff in favour of a given project. In 2019-2020, donations support mental health support in South Kivu.
