- Louvain Coopération does not provide any compensation or scholarships, and does not cover any expenses (transport, travel insurance, accommodation, food, visa, etc.).
- Louvain Coopération provides you with Work Accident (and local travel) Insurance and Civil Liability Insurance.
- Fluency in French is essential.

- Additionally, proficiency in English is necessary in Cambodia, and in Spanish in the Andean America.
- Internships
are for students currently enrolled in a program requiring an internship, thesis, or doctoral work as part of their curriculum. - International volunteering
is for recent graduates, students (outside of their curriculum), unemployed individuals, retirees, etc., who want to professionalise themselves or volunteer in our projects. The required profiles are the same as for interns. This can potentially enrich your CV with field experience. - Volunteers
are anyone who has some time and wants to volunteer in our daily or occasional activities in Belgium. This collaboration does not necessarily require prior knowledge or training. We sometimes need assistance (extra hands). - Student jobs
may also be sought in certain cases for short-term tasks. Their remuneration is that of a student job.
For Projects in the South
(whether at the headquarters in Belgium or in the field)
- You have a clear idea of an internship/volunteering opportunity (such as a specific internship title with a professor or thesis work: limited theme, detailed subject), for a minimum duration of 3 months. ONLY proposals expressed in the form of a specific project will be considered.
- You are an expert (professional) in a subject relevant to our projects, and you believe you can help us by intervening practically in the field (not in paperwork) for even a short duration (minimum 15 days). Your proposal may also interest us.
For Headquarters Services
(other than Projects in the South)
You select one of our services and explain your suggestion in your motivation letter. Headquarters' services do not directly deal with cooperation projects but engage in the fields of Global Citizenship and Solidarity Education, Operations, Communication, Marketing, Fundraising, Research and Development, Accounting, etc.
In the South
Most opportunities in Southern Projects take place in the field: see the offers in the table above. Please note: Temporarily, due to the current health situation, we cannot send interns or volunteers abroad!
However, it is sometimes possible to work with the Southern Projects team at the headquarters in Belgium.
The minimum duration of internships is 3 months.
