Since the beginning of 2025, conflicts in the Democratic Republic of the Congo have intensified. The M23 rebels have launched an assault on Goma, the capital of North Kivu, causing mass displacement of populations.

The Situation is Critical

The conflict has spread to South Kivu, where rebels have seized Nyabibwe, a key mining town. They already control a large part of the Kalehe territory and are advancing towards Bukavu, the capital of South Kivu.

Refugee camps are overwhelmed. Hundreds of thousands of people are without shelter, medical care, and food. Sanitary conditions are deteriorating: cholera cases are surging, and malnutrition has risen from 13% in December 2024 to 72% in the refugee camps of Goma.

Humanitarian Aid is Vital for Their Survival

We do not usually launch emergency fundraising appeals, but the situation now demands it more than ever. We need your help to act quickly and provide life-saving assistance.

The funds raised will be used to provide:

  • Tents, beds, and mattresses to accommodate the wounded in health centres;
  • Essential medicines and medical supplies for emergency surgeries;
  • Psychosocial support for victims and reinforcement of hospital teams;
  • Nutritional kits for children in refugee care centres.

Every donation counts and can save a life.
