Are you a student at UCLouvain with the soul of an entrepreneur? Are you passionate about multiculturalism and innovation? Would you like to put your theoretical knowledge into practice in a real-life case? Do you like meeting people and developing your network? Then become an ambassador for your university and its NGO! Take part in SusTech4Benin, alongside Belgian and Beninese entrepreneurs.

Sustainable Technology for Benin is a project that supports and promotes sustainable entrepreneurship in Benin. The project is part of the SusTech4Africa programme run by OVO (Ondernemers voor Ondernemers), which acts as an investment accelerator and facilitator for SMEs and social enterprises in Africa.

The SusTech4Africa approach combines two key elements:

  1. Growth coaching: to help companies grow, strengthen their sustainability and improve their performance.
  2. Investment readiness coaching: to prepare these companies to attract investors and pursue sustainable growth.

SusTech4Benin in brief

  • Following a selection process carried out by OVO and its local partners, around ten companies are taking part in the SusTech4Benin Boostcamp.
  • During the Boostcamp, interactive workshops, co-facilitated by ICHEC and a local partner from Louvain Coopération, will be offered, including tools such as the Social Impact Canvas.
  • Entrepreneurs will be accompanied by European and Beninese Business Coaches, to whom the selected students will be matched, to help them develop their business model.
  • At the end of the Boostcamp, the entrepreneurs will pitch their project to a panel of judges and a wider audience.
  • The Business Coaches will then visit the companies they have worked for.

SusTech4Benin is a unique opportunity to contribute to sustainable entrepreneurship in Africa while developing invaluable skills in a stimulating multicultural environment.
