Where we left them, the two friends were trekking in Nepal along Annapurna. Since then, they have continued their journey and have just arrived in Laos. In a few weeks, they will finally reach their final destination: Malaysia. Immerse yourself in the adventures of thes e two adventurers since our last meeting!

AnnapurnaAfter more than 6 months of adventures, the two sidekicks are determined to achieve their goal! After their intense climb of Annapurna, they continued their incredible expedition by taking a night bus to reach Kathmandu, where they explored the city and discovered its wonders. Their Nepalese stay concluded with an exciting dive into a Vipassana meditation experience.

They say: “In December, when we were in Georgia, we were told about a 10-day meditation course. It was a Belgian woman we met who spoke to us about it and who told us all the good things it did her. She described to us how it went and all the discipline imposed for 10 days. As usual, we told ourselves that we were there to try things and that we could try. There was nothing to lose. »

They continue: “The first 3 days, we had to concentrate on our breathing and on the sensations felt between the nostrils and the upper lip. The other days we focused on the sensations felt throughout the body. It was really difficult to concentrate so long and so deeply. »

They continued their journey with a quick stopover in India, in Calcutta, before going to Vietnam, where they landed in Hanoi and explored the city. Then they hopped on a bus to the majestic Ha Long Bay, where they boarded a small cruise ship, a simply incredible experience. To further enrich their exploration, they rented a scooter for 4 days and explored the famous “Ha Giang loop”.

Vietnam

After crossing the country, discovering magical places such as Sa Pa and Ninh Bình, the companions are now crossing Laos, the next stage of their journey.

They also planned to cross Thailand and then go to Cambodia to visit Louvain Coopération projects on the ground, in order to concretely observe the use of the funds collected. As a reminder, adventurers raise funds throughout their expedition to support projects related to food sovereignty. In Cambodia, Louvain Cooperation collaborates with 17 local partners in the fields of health and agroecology. The objective is to promote economic and social changes for rural farming families and agricultural organizations by improving food markets through the transition to agroecology, while promoting gender equity in the agricultural sector.< /p>

We wish them an excellent journey and we will keep you informed of their adventures!

Don’t forget to support them and, through them, Louvain Cooperation’s projects in Cambodia. They are counting on you ! THANKS.
