The ECMS is education for global citizenship and solidarity, one of the departments of Louvain Coopération. But what does this mean in practical terms? The ECMS raises students' awareness of relationships of dominationdiscrimination as well as imbalances between countries in the Global South and North. Students or teachers, if you want to think about these subjects or get people to think about them, Louvain Coopération has an educational offer to suit everyone!

For students

Are you wondering about decolonisation, ecological transition, gender inequality? We create personalised training courses tailored to your concerns, and support you in setting up collective intelligence tools or advocacy... "Pre-departure" training courses can also be organised to prepare you for a trip to a Global South country to enable a respectful encounter, open to others.

Do you have a project you want to make a reality? We'll support you! You can become Solidarity Student and be part of a community that shares the same openness to the world. Your participation will enable the creation of a Solidarity Fund with which you could carry out a concrete project abroad or in Belgium. If you are part of a Kot or student group, we can also provide financial support for your activities. Within the NGO, volunteering activities in the field of international cooperation and carrying out your end-of-studies internship are also possible.

For teachers

Active cooperation with members of the academic body at UCLouvain is essential. Through the use of collective intelligence tools, or the mobilisation of the arts, global themes can be approached from a different angle.

Louvain Coopération facilitates meetings and debates with other players and specialists from civil society through the "Inter'discours" module, so that the university is a place for diversifying voices and knowledge.

The list of possible activities is far from exhaustive. For more information, consult our site or contact us.
