Ensemble, les membres épargnent et se prêtent de l’argent pour développer de petits projets économiques. Ils reçoivent également des formations techniques en agriculture afin d’améliorer leurs récoltes. De nombreuses femmes adhèrent à ces groupes (rien qu’en RDC, 2.387 en 2021, soit 75% des membres).
Cela leur permet une plus grande autonomie financière, le développement de leur esprit entrepreneurial, mais aussi une amélioration de leur statut social.
