The Solidarity Fund is a call for projects for UCLouvain students wishing to set up projects in Belgium or in the Global South. The fund is financed by the Solidarity Student programme, as half of the registration fees are paid into it.
Do you have an idea for a project in Belgium or the Global South that's close to your heart? Submit your application to the Solidarity Fund! Next call for projects from 10 November 2023 to 10 February 2024.
Solidarity Student's projects supported in 2023-2024 :
MobileCare KINSHASA, a project run by Esthere and Kadjogbé, is a mobile healthcare clinic and sexual health education programme for street children in Kinshasa.
The second project, run by Armel and Marie-Claude, aims to improve the living conditions of women and young people by training them in the sustainable production and sale of non-timber forest products in NGoyla, in the East Cameroon region.
Support Louvain Coopération
Supporting producers in an agroecological transition
Agroecology is a agricultural technique that combines ecological principles and agricultural practices to create sustainable and resilient farming systems.
Agroecology offers many benefits, not only for the environment, but also for local societies and economies. These benefits are achieved through sustainable agricultural practices that respect natural cycles and strengthen the resilience of farming systems to climate change.
Louvain Coopération, UCLouvain's NGO, aims to develop sustainable and equitable food and systems through an integrated approach combining ecological and social principles, in order to optimise interactions between plants, animals, humans and the environment. Our actions promote the autonomy of producers, agricultural groups and cooperatives, with particular attention paid to the rights of women, young people and indigenous peoples.
